The holiday season in Idaho Falls brings a unique opportunity to give back through the Giving Machines at Grand Teton Mall.
These reverse vending machines let visitors purchase essential items—from food and clothing to school supplies and livestock—for individuals and families in need.
Organized by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as part of the global Light the World initiative, the effort spotlights service during Christmas.
Proceeds benefit both international groups like Right to Play and Care, and local organizations including the Eastern Idaho Community Action Partnership, Idaho Falls Rescue Mission, and more.
Singer Jay Osmond helped launch the machines, energizing the seasonal spirit.
The Giving Machines operate at Grand Teton Mall until January 1, with every dollar going directly to charity.
This is a simple, meaningful way for the community to spread kindness and celebrate the spirit of Christmas.
